The NORTH side is HIS side. I helped!
This year we decided to go beyond the 'barrier reef' that didn't work
anyway and we took the chain saw about six more feet back from the edge.
Didn't actually take pictures that because it was excruciatingly hard work!
Truth is, I didn't even think of taking photos. We cut back invasive
saplings and bushy things and more sticker bushes than I could count on a
good day.
OH EMM GEE was that a hard day. This job took ALL day! Heart was
pounding from the aerobics of it. Heart was pounding over the chain
sawing of it too. Those things make me nervous. Make me nervous
even when I'm not the one using the chain saw. Truth is, I stand with
my cell phone in one hand and the other hand I pull the rope or push the
tree trunk or whatever else I'm commanded to do.
I really hate it when he climbs a tree with a rope around his waist and
uses the chain saw on a stick that I have to hand up to him... already
turned on because of course you can't be pulling a starter string thing
while 30 feet up a tree hanging off a rope. What I really hate is I
have to put down my cell phone and it might take a few seconds longer to
dial 911 when he cuts off a finger or something worse than that.
As I was contemplating the best way to tell this part of the story I
wandered up to take a photo of the work we had done. Not much to see
and the green stuff is already growing back. I see shoots for more new
sticker bushes than we cut down in a whole day's work.
He still insists his way is better than my way.
I am pretty sure that our north side efforts will again be in vain but
HEY, it gave us something out of doors while pushing spring!
NOW you can see my way!
